Students wanting to enrol to CCPFT must – 

  1. Must hold high school graduation certificate (at least 12 years of education)
  2. Must hold a valid, recognized Fitness Trainer Level 3 or recognized sports coaching or science diploma or a degree in Physical Education or a degree in Physiotherapy and demonstrates his professional skill sets as Basic Instructor as identified in the EuropeActive EQF Level 3 Fitness Instructor standards in the following areas –

The CCPFT IS A BLENDED COURSE – that is, it comprises:

  1. Online WEBINARS (face-to-face) supported with PPTs with training videos
  2. GUIDED home study / practice on basis of 1,200 exercise videos
  3. Home ASSIGNMENTS
  4. IN-PERSON (face-to-face) education & training
  5. All knowledge will be delivered in the following languages –

  1. Classroom – face-to-face – Teaching is done with the help of audio-visual equipment. Power point presentation slides are also provided to the students (in addition to the textbooks and DVDs).
  2. Online Learning is conducted on Zoom. The total number of hours is about 150. Zoom recordings are uploaded on YouTube the links of which are shared with the students.
  3. In Practical Training, students are grouped in small batches and then taught main exercises keeping in mind that the student will ultimately have to teach it to his / her client.
  4. Lesson Plans: Faculty members are strongly advised to prepare lesson plans in advance.
  5. Class strength: To the extent possible, Theory lectures are presented to batches with not more than 25 students. Practical training is imparted to groups of not more than 20 students. University of Mumbai has no limit on the class strength.
  6. Classroom layout is normally “auditorium” while we prefer to impart practical training to students who are seated in “horse-shoe” layout.
  7. Self-study: Most CCPFT batches run thrice-weekly. The students have thus the opportunity to study / revise / practice during the week. Two hours per weekday is recommended. In between delivery Modules, 10 hours are invested in student interaction and mini-tests / quizzes to keep the students on their toes. Observations of students in these sessions is recorded for purpose of real-time assessment.
  8. Home Assignments: The purpose of this section of assessment is to –
    1. Ensure the student practices / revises what he / she studies “in class”
    2. Enable students to visit existing fitness centres / clubs / health resorts and get a “feel of the market” and experience how training is imparted to clients
    3. Encourage students to innovate and come up with ideas that may contribute to better training and higher safety standards.
  9. Follow-Up: Each day’s training session is followed up with discussions, additional notes on WhatsApp groups and via email.
  10. Seminars: After the course is completed, students are invited to attend seminars; topics are discussed in WhatsApp groups, etc to encourage students to apply their learning in practical situations.
  11. Post-certification Mentoring & Guidance: Every student is accessible to free guidance and mentoring from the CEO and Heads of Faculties via telephone, WhatsApp and, where possible, through face-to-face interactions.

Phase A – Mid-Course

  • Practical Home Study Assignment. Maximum marks 200

The subjects covered are: Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Principles of Diet & Nutrition Management.

Phase B – Course-end

  • Real-time (In-Classroom) Assessment. Maximum marks 100

Student will be assessed for in-classroom interaction, proactive participation in class, punctuality, social skills, etc, on basis of OSCE principles. Knowledge of English and regularity on social media are NOT relevant to this assessment.

  • Theory Exam: 100 Multiple Choice Questions. Maximum marks 200

The subjects covered will be all –

  • practical training workshops including the theory or “physiologies” underpinning them.
  • Fitness Assessment & Exercise Periodization
  • Case Study: Maximum marks 100

Student has to select one of three case studies and submit it at time of the viva voce exam.

  • Practical Training Exam – Peer Teaching Lesson. Maximum marks 300

Each student will teach a full weight training session comprising at least one major and one minor muscle groups, :

  1. Introduce himself / herself
  2. introduce the exercise
  3. demonstrate the exercise
  4. teach it to the “client”
  5. training cues – check for safety, breathing etc
  6. “close” the exercise session.
  • Viva Voce. Maximum marks 100. Oral questions will be asked about the exercise taught, related kinesiology and exercise prescription as mentioned in the Case Study submitted.

TOTAL Marks – 1,000

To pass the CCPFT examination, the student must earn at least 70%.

Students will lower marks will be referred for retraining and / or reassessment. For re-exam fees see Terms & Conditions of Enrolment.

All Indian students will also submit the Skills India – SPEFL-SC’s online examination and viva voce for the purpose of earning the NSQF Level 4 fitness trainer certificate. 

GAYO FITNESS SPORTS ACADEMY (Gayo Fitness Academy And Research Center Private Limited) will issue the personal trainer certificates in the UAE to the students who have passed the Examination and Assessment (E&A) standards of the Academy and EREPS.

Each student will receive, along with the certificate, a Letter of Performance which will detail the marks obtained and his / her FITNESS TO WORK AS PERSONAL TRAINER or otherwise.

The Indian certificate-holders have the right to convert the CCPFT certificate to the University of Mumbai certificate at a later date by an additional fee of IN₹7,500 at any time when they are physically present in India. This certificate will bear the grade earned by the student.

Upon the successful completion of the CCPFT E&A, the student will be registered for the following certificates:

  • EREPS Level 4 personal trainer
  • REPS UAE Category “A” card for personal trainers
  • For Indian citizens only: Skills India – SPEFL-SC NSQF Level 4 fitness trainer ceetificate

GAYO FITNESS AND SPORTS ACADEMY certificates will be awarded to students on basis of assessments in –

The CCPFT and workshop certificates do not have an expiry date. They need not be renewed.

However, the certificate holder is advised to earn 30 hours of additional training as Continuing Education Units (CEUs / CPDs) within every three years. These CPDs may be common to those as required by UAE REPS.

The EREPS, REPS UAE and, in the case of Indian citizens, SPEFL-SC NSQF Level 4 certificates will have to be renewed as per their respective terms and conditions.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

Part 1 – INTRODUCTION:

  1. On the basis of the information that I have collected through the relevant website/s, online, social media, face-to-face seminars and overview sessions, brochures and other media and studied, I understand and accept that the Certificate Course for Personal Fitness Trainers (CCPFT) is a blended course comprising the modules listed below and such other that may be introduced from time to time:
    1. Online lectures – both face-to-face “live” classroom sessions and recorded sessions.
    2. Guided home study which will be both study of “theory” subjects and practical training.
  • “Live”, physical practical training in various exercise formats including but not restricted to weight (strength) training, plyometrics, functional training, flexibility and stretching, First Aid & CPR with AED drills and such other training that may be be added or replaced from time to time.
  1. I understand and accept that the CCPFT’s course syllabus, knowledge delivery, duration and Faculty (tutors, assessors and internal quality assurers) are of the highest standards that comply with the requirements of the –
    1. European Register of Exercise Professionals – EREPS – Level 4,
    2. Register of Exercise Professionals – UAE (REPS UAE),
  • the University of Mumbai.
  1. The CCPFT is also aligned with the Government of India’s Skills India initiative through the Sports, Leisure, Physical Education and Leisure Sector Council (SPEFL-SC) under the National Skills Development Corporation Ltd., (NSDC).
  2. I understand and accept that for the purpose of the award of the REPS UAE Category “A” card for personal trainers, I have to submit to their office both the “qualification” CCPFT certificate and the accreditation EREPS Level 4 certificate and the First Aid & CPR with AED certificate.
  3. I understand and accept that the CCPFT conducted by Gāyo Fitness Sports Academy, UAE, is as per the academic and quality assurance standards of Gāyo Fitness Academy and Research Center Private Limited, Mumbai, and meet the requirements of REPS UAE and EREPS.
  4. I understand and accept that I am and will remain physically present for the entire duration of this course in the UAE and that my physical presence in the UAE is as per the laws of the Government of the UAE.
  5. For INDIAN CITIZENS only:
    1. I, as an Indian citizen, understand and accept that I will be required to register to and pass the Fitness Trainer Level 4 qualification through the SPEFL-SC for the purpose of –
    2. Getting myself registered on the National Skills Register, Government of India
  • Passing and earning the certificate as a pre-requisite to the award and / or renewal of the EREPS Level 4 accreditation certificate.

Part 2 – FEES

  1. The CCPFT Fee is the fee I shall pay for the entire course including theory and practical training, eBOOKS, examinations and certification as published on https://gafitsport.com/ and as shared through social and other media from time to time.
  2. I will pay the CCPFT fee in full and final settlement within seven working days before the date of the commencement of the CCPFT course.
  3. Upon my request and application to GFSA, I may be allowed to pay the CCPFT Fee in equated monthly instalments (EMIs)subject to the below-mentioned conditions:
    1. The number of EMIs will be determined and permitted solely by GFSA and their decision will be final.
    2. I will not be eligible to discount on the CCPFT fee.
  4. The Fee/s as above is / are liable to change without prior notice due to circumstances beyond GFSA’s control.
  5. The above fee/s may vary from batch to batch due to the additional programs / workshops and / or translation services provided.
  6. I have ascertained and I accept the fee amount/s at the time of this enrolment and I shall pay accordingly.
  7. I promise to pay as per the schedule of payments as laid down by GFSA.
  8. Delay or default in my payment of fee will lead to –
    1. Cancellation of enrolment before commencement of course, and the fee I have paid will be refunded to me after deduction of an administrative charge of AED500/- or 10% of the fee paid whichever is higher.
    2. After commencement of the CCPFT course in which I have attended at least one but not more than four online theory lectures or two “live”, physical practical training days, I will be refunded the fee after deduction of AED750/- or 15% of the fee paid whichever is higher.
  • After commencement of the CCPFT course in which I have attended at five or more online theory lectures or three or more “live”, physical practical training days and thereafter I wish to discontinue my enrolment, I will not be eligible for any refund whatsoever irrespective of the reason for the discontinuation save at the discretion of GFSA.
  1. The amount so paid may under (iii) above may be adjusted against future continuation in the next CCPFT batch within a time limit of 12 months from the date of certification in the CCPFT course batch in which I am currently enrolled and for this purpose, GFSA will issue me a “credit note” valid for only 12 months from the date of the certification in the said course batch I am currently enrolled to.
  2. I will follow the prescribed procedure/s for the application of course enrolment, discontinuation and refund if any and transfer to the next CCPFT batch and the GFSA’s decision in this regard will be final.
  1. GFSA will levy additional fees as follows.
  1. Assessment Grade Appeal Procedure and Fee.

I understand and accept that if any student including me wants to appeal against the Course Assessment and Result / Grade, he / she will

  1. Submit the prescribed Appeal Against Grade form
  2. Pay Appeals fee as per section requested for re-evaluation:

– Home Assignments @Fee of AED Two Hundred and Fifty Only (AED250/-).

– Theory Examination @Fee of AED Three Hundred Only (AED300/-)

– Practical Assessment & Viva Voce Marks @Fee AED Five Hundred Only (AED50/-).

– Option for All Sections Fee@ AED One Thousand and Fifty Only (AED1,050/-).

  1. The student’s performance along with necessary documents will be placed before the Appeals Committee in their next available meeting.
  2. The Student’s Dossier on the website (linked through the QR code on certificate) will show the following remark: “Awarded grade is currently suspended pending confirmation, upgrade or downgrade after Appeal Against Grade is decided.”
  3. The student’s performance will be re-evaluated. There will be one of 3 likey decisions:
    1. Upgrade according re-evaluated marking
    2. Downgrade according to re-evaluated marking
    3. Maintain the same grade
  4. The Appeals Adjudication process may take as long as eight to ten weeks.
  5. The decision of Appeals Committee will be final. Their decision will be posted in the dossier on the website.
  6. In case of any Upgrade / Downgrade, the currently graded certificate in original has to be returned to our Administrative Office in UAE before issuance of fresh certificate.
  1. Re-Exam fee
    1. The additional fee will be payable on this account if the student has not earned more than 50% in each of the Assessment and Examination sections. The student will be the informed of his / her performance results through the Performance Letter.
    2. The Re-Exam fee will be payable for each of the Sections in which the student has to be re-examined.
    3. The Re-Exam fee will be AED Five Hundred only (AED500/-) per each section of the examination – that is, Home Assignments, Theory exam (online or offline), Case Study and Viva Voce and Practical Teaching Assessment.
    4. In case of the student’s failure to obtain 70% or more to qualify for the EREPS Level 4 certificate, the student will pay a Re-Exam fee of AED One Thousand Only (AED1,000/-) and reappear in the Theory exam, Case Study and Viva Voce and Practical Teaching Assessment.
  2. Issue of Duplicate Certificate
    1. The student may be issued with a DUPLICATE copy of the ORIGINAL certificate if the latter is LOST or DESTROYED provided the student –
      • Pays the fee of AED Seven Hundred and Fifty Only (AED750/-) and
      • Submits an affidavit or letter to the effect that since the ORIGINAL certificate is lost the student requests for the issuance of a DUPLICATE and student alone will be responsible for all legal and financial consequences of both the ORIGINAL and DUPLICATE are in simultaneous possession and / or circulation with other persons.
    2. Learning Resources

The Course Fee includes the cost of all eBOOKS (soft copies of books in PDF format) and access to exercise videos through Google Drive or GFSA website.

  1. If the student wants the textbooks in the form of hard copies, a fee of AED Five Hundred Only (AED500/-) will be levied additionally.
  2. This fee does not include courier charges.
  • This fee will be paid at any time during the conduct of the Course and the books will be delivered within 15 working days of the payment.
  1. Payment Procedure
    1. All fees or charges or penalties will be payable to the bank account of GFSA in Dubai, UAE.
    2. The mode of payment will be as per the directions of the GFSA and may be through the online mode/s as recommended by our bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – ADCB.
    3. GFSA will issue one and final consolidated receipt for the total full and final payment at the end of the course. The end of the course is the date on which the course completion and passing certificate is issued subject to the intervening end of the financial year and accounting requirements.
    4. GFSA will NOT be responsible for payments by student to any unauthorized payee irrespective of whether the other party / payee is our representative or not.
    5. After the payment is made, the student must communicate to our Office in UAE the payment transaction details in the following format:

  • Course / Exam name
  • Amount of Payment
  • Date of Payment
  • Bank from which payment made
  • Name of person from whose account payment is made
  • Payment Transaction reference number
  • Screenshot of payment
  • Total Payable
  • Balance payable if any
  1. Complimentary courses / certifications
    1. GFSA may offer to its students from time to offer certain courses, certifications, products or services free of additional cost as a “complimentary” gift or facility.
    2. This complimentary gift or facility will be introduced, continued and discontinued at any time at the discretion of GFSA.
    3. The duration of the complimentary gift or facility and the timing of its grant is entirely at the discretion of GFSA.
    4. GFSA also retains the right to refuse the grant of any complimentary facility on grounds of indiscipline, poor academic performance in terms of grades, or reasons beyond its control.
    5. As this facility is NOT paid for by the student, GFAR’s decisions in the matter will be final and absolute.
    6. The complimentary offer is one-time offer only and will not be re-applied in the event EREPS, Skills India, University or other authorities change rules of enrolment, knowledge delivery, assessment, or certification or other related process and / or for any reason beyond GFSA’s control.

Part 3 – ACADEMICS

  1. I shall strictly meet the pre-enrolment criteria including minimum education qualification of at least 12 years failing which I will be barred from the enrolment.
  2. I agree to abide by the rules relating to education & training, examination / assessment leading to certification for CCPFT.
  • As per CCPFT requirements, I will attend practical training and teaching assessment and submit video recordings of assignments and undergo evaluations / examinations as required.
  1. I agree to and permit the said video recording/s and / or my personal and academic records to be shared with other academic bodies for only confidential academic purposes and not for commercial or public use or display.
  2. I accept that CCPFT and other certificates will be awarded only upon successful completion of the training, assignments and examinations, minimum attendance and OSCE / real-time evaluation, according to academic standards published on www.gayofitnessacademy.com, provided I have paid the fee is paid in full.
  3. I agree to renew, on my own at my own expense, CCPFT / UAE REPS / EREPS / other related certifications including the First Aid & CPR certificate before the date of certificate expiry by attending continuing education workshops / seminars if any and by paying the requisite renewal fee as at the time of renewal.
  • I undertake to comply with the rules and regulations of GFSA / UAE REPS / EREPS and other accreditation bodies in connection with my CCPFT as also comply with regulations of training centre / facility / premises where I will attend CCPFT training program /course failing which I alone will be responsible for loss of or damage to person / property in the said centre / facility / premises and neither GFSA nor its officers nor teaching faculty will be held liable for the same.
  • I will comply with the directions, instructions and requirements as also terms and conditions relating to the CCPFT / UAE REPS / EREPS / Skills India SPEFL-SC, etc as may be changed from time to time.

Part 4 – GENERAL

  1. I understand and accept that during the CCPFT training, I may suffer from exercise-related or non-exercise related or other injury / accident. I have voluntarily enrolled to the training program / course having convinced myself that GFSA and its training faculty and training facility providers have exercised due diligence in ensuring a safe training program. I will not hold them, singly or jointly, responsible in any manner for the injury to me or damage to my property.
  2. I authorize GFSA to receive / archive / courier / email / share my CCPFT / GFSA / UAE REPS / EREPS / other certificate/s and learning resources, related documents, as also my personal information as shared with GFSA etc., on my behalf and this will not be considered as breach of confidentiality by me or any other party or an individual.
  • WAIVER.
    1. I solemnly affirm that I suffer from no medical condition or illness in body and mind.
    2. In case I suffer from any medical condition, I promise to submit within seven days of this enrolment my medical doctor’s certificate confirming that I am fit to enrol to and participate in your training program/s without which I will not be enrolled to CCPFT.
  1. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER:
    1. I absolve GFSA from any or all liabilities that may arise due to my own actions or for reasons outside my control during the training course I am now enrolled to and, thereafter, in my interactions with my clients, employers, regulatory authorities, etc.
    2. I will not hold GFA responsible for any injury or loss of property that may occur during the CCPFT course.
  • I have referred to the terms & conditions, specific warranties and disclaimers for and on each training program / course and related learning resources.
  1. The enrolment to and / or purchase of training programs / courses including learning resources, attending the live or physical or offline training program and possessing, using and / or allowing the use thereof indicates and confirms my acceptance of and agreement with these Terms and Conditions
  1. In case of any issue not covered above, GFSA’s decision will final in the matter.

I have studied and I now accept unconditionally the above Terms and Conditions specific to the CERITIFCATE COURSE FOR PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINERS – CCPFT – course and accordingly enrol to the said CCPFT.
